HOME SCHOOLING: LEARNING TOOLS PRE K-6TH

Hello Fashion Moms,

I hope you and your family are doing well during this unprecedented and unexpected pandemic that has changed the way we live, work, shop and educate our kids. This is a very scary and rapid thing that is devastating familes and businesses worldwide, but we can get through this if EVERYONE takes the requested percaustions/guidelines given to us by Government officials and although it feels like a broken record is being played daily on the news but FACTS CAN'T BE ERASED just comply.

With that said, today's post is all about homeschooling since we are suppose to be social distancing all school districts have closed schools until further notice; This was a important and smart decision for the safety of students and school staff. Like many of you, this is something new and you may be stuck not knowing what resources are available or are in need of something different to try out. So I am here to help you ease some of that confusion or stress today with what I have gotten from my daughters school and teacher that can be of some use to your Kinder-6th grade students while at home.

HOME SCHOOL: USEFUL LEARNING APPS

 

These are apps that my daughters teacher uses during class but zapzap math we found on our own before the pandemic began. Today I was able to pick up a school issued iPad for Nevaeh to keep up with her education and I enjoyed watching her utilize it in the comfort of our home and was happy to see even though we had been doing very little of school related work with her before gettinf the iPad she hadn't gotten foggy brained. Within the next few days we will be finding out how her teacher plans to continue classwork via some online video communication platform. 

Also the school district put together a few pdf files of things we could do without an iPad for school work and these are useful for grades K-6th with some for TK as well and I will share with you the results in the following weeks. 

 

Also Scholstic books is giving you the option to recieve your book order at home during the pandemic and also has free learning materials just go to their website. But when ordering books ask your students teacher for the classroom code so you can still help the class receive free books.

I hope this we helpful and your kids continue to gain knowledge during such a detaching moment in time. Although this is new to all parents, but you can get through this chaos with the kids at home everyday take it a day at time and give your self time to rest when needed whether that be by taking a nap or just letting the kids play for awhile to get energy out. We have to take care of ourselves so that we don't get frustrated or annoyed by how bored the kids are for the remainder of this pandemic.
